The Amazon-powered online retailer, Souq.com has introduced a new laptop (and iPad) exchange offer for its UAE customers.
The exchange process seems simple enough: first log into the website and request for the exchange and enter your details, the team from Souq will then contact you to confirm if the laptop or the iPad is in working condition, and then scheduled a pickup. Once everything checks out, Souq will issue a cash voucher on your account towards buying a new laptop from their store.
Souq has given a few examples of the kind of cashback you will receive when exchanging your laptop. A MacBook 15” with an i7 processor could fetch you a north of AED 1,700, while an i5 MacBook Air might get you AED 1,200. Non-Apple branded laptops will get you far less value, however, such as a 500GB i7 laptop of any brand may get you anywhere around AED 900- AED 1000. Souq will also take your “non-working” but not broken laptops and iPads for a flatout fee of AED 500.
