Samsung Gulf Officially Launches the Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy Z Flip in the UAE
Samsung Gulf Electronics has officially announced the launch of its latest flagship smartphones including the Samsung Galaxy S20, the Samsung Galaxy S20+, and the Samsung Galaxy 20 Ultra. The new smartphones feature upgraded camera capabilities and faster-processing speeds. The Samsung Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra come with high-speed 5G capabilities. Samsung also unveiled its next-generation Galaxy Z Flip and is seen as the next generation of smartphone form-factors that feature advanced folding screens.

The Samsung Galaxy S20, the S20 + and the S20 Ultra differ mainly in the screen size. The Galaxy S20 comes with a 6.2-inch AMOLED while the Galaxy S20+ features a bigger 6.7-inch display and the S20 Ultra with a 6.9-inch display. All the three smartphones feature 3200 x 1440 as the screen resolution and support for 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung claims that the screen remains default at 60Hz and can be changed to 120Hz at any time. The high refresh rate benefits gamers with ultra-smooth graphics and framerates. The displays are designed with a near bezel-less with Infinity-O so that the customers can see content as a full-screen experience.
The Galaxy S20 is 7.9mm thick and weighs 163g. The Galaxy S20+ is 7.8mm thick and weighs 188g while the bigger Galaxy S20 Ultra features a thickness of 8.8mm and weighs heavier at 222g. The smartphones are powered by an octa-core processor. The Galaxy S20 comes with 8GB RAM, the Galaxy S20+ with 8GB RAM for the LTE version, and the Galaxy S20+ 5G comes with 12GB RAM. The Galaxy S20 Ultra comes with a massive 16GB RAM.
The cameras of the new Galaxy S20 series received serious upgrades as compared to the previous iterations. The Samsung Galaxy S20 features a triple camera configuration on its rear side where there is one 12MP camera for ultra-wide-angle with F2.2 as its aperture, another wide-angle camera with 12MP and F1.8 as its aperture and a 64MP with F2.0 as its aperture for telephoto shots. The Galaxy S20+ features four cameras in which three of the shooters are the same as the Galaxy S20 and the fourth one is a DepthVision sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, on the other hand, comes with a 12MP ultra-wide shooter with F2.2, a wide-angle shooter with a massive 108MP and F1.8 as its aperture, a telephoto lens at 48MP and F3.5 aperture and a DepthVision sensor. Both the Galaxy S20 and the Galaxy S20+ features a 10MP front-facing camera and the Galaxy S20 Ultra with a 40MP selfie camera. The Samsung Galaxy S20 packs a 4000 mAh battery, the Galaxy S20+ 5G with a 4500 mAh battery and the Galaxy S20 Ultra with a massive 5000 mAh battery.
Samsung also announced the Galaxy Z Flip that features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a resolution of 2636 x 1080 and a screen brightness of 425ppi. The smartphone weighs about 183g and features dual 12MP cameras on its rear side for wide and ultra-wide shots.
The smartphone is powered by an octa-core processor and comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device packs a 3300 mAh battery and features support for fast charge capability and Wireless PowerShare.
The new Samsung Galaxy S20 series of smartphones will be available in different colours options from the 6th of March, 2020 across the UAE. The Galaxy S20 will come in Cosmic Grey, Cloud Blue, and Cloud Pink colours and will cost 3199 AED for the 128GB model. The Galaxy S20+ will come in Cosmic Grey, Cloud Blue and Cosmic Black colours and will cost 3500 AED for the 128GB non-5G model, 3799 AED for the 128GB 5G model and 4299 AED for the 512GB 5G model. The Galaxy S20 Ultra comes in Cosmic Grey and Cosmic Black colours and is priced at 4499 AED for the 128GB model and 5299 for the 512GB model in the UAE. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is priced at 5499 AED in the UAE and will come in Mirror Purple and Mirror Black colours.
