At the Novotel Hotel, DWTC, Panasonic Middle East has officially unveiled their latest professional, Digital Single Lens Mirrorless Camera called the LUMIX GH5S, featuring newly expanded video recording capabilities and enhanced low light performance that rivals the best video cameras in the market. Designed and developed with professional filmmakers in mind, the LUMIX GH5S now offers the highest-ever sensitivity ever created in the history of Panasonic Lumix cameras.
The GH5S comes packed with a new 10.2-megapixel Digital Live MOS Sensor, and with the help of the Dual Native ISO Technology and Venus Engine, images are captured to reproduce dark scenes with a maximum of ISO 51200. The new image sensor also supports multi-aspect ratios, that includes 4:3, 17:9, 16:9 and 3:2. The camera also offers photoshooting in 14-bit RAW format for higher flexibility for professional RAW production.

As the LUMIX GH5 is world’s first mirrorless camera that’s capable of achieving 4K 60p / 50p video recording, the newly launched LUMIX GH5S once again achieves another milestone as the world’s first mirrorless camera to support 4K 60p / 50p video recording capability in Cinema 4K format (4096×2160). The new shooter also is capable of internal 4:2:2 10-bit video recording (a colour subsampling that’s used in filmmaking, for the best color reproduction results. Additionally, both FHD and 4K video recording has no time limit. Panasonic also stated that the heat management is excellent while recording in 4K and staying cool.
Panasonic has also integrated the V-LogL in the camera so professionals do not need to upgrade their cameras separately by spending a hefty amount for it. This means users will get V-LogL out of the box. You will also be able to record FHD videos up to 240 fps. There are a total of 225 AF points, along with advanced Tracking AF, 1-area AF and Pinpoint AF modes to choose according to the situation. are available for precise focusing. Panasonic designed the GH5S to handle tough situations, featuring a composed magnesium alloy full die-cast body, and the result is a splashproof and dustproof video camera. It’s also freezeproof, down to -10 degrees. The GH5S also sports dual SD slots that are compatible with the high-speed, high-capacity UHS-II cards. There is also an HDMI Type A port in the camera. The Live View Finder of the GH5S provides a high magnification ratio of approximately 1.52x/0.76x for a smooth display performance at 120 fps. The OLED display features sharp 3,680K-dot resolution and 100% field of view. The new LUMIX GH5S brings further innovation to creative workflows with new heights in recording low-light, high-quality images that greatly expand the possibilities for video creators.
